LANAP Protocol
The LANAP protocol begins with a local anesthetic to ensure patient comfort. A specialized laser is used to selectively remove diseased gum tissue and bacteria from periodontal pockets. The laser then stimulates the root surface to promote clotting and tissue reattachment, while ultrasonic scalers clean the root surfaces. Finally, the gums are compressed to seal the pockets, encouraging healing without sutures. This precise process minimizes trauma and supports natural tissue regeneration.
